Week 9 came and went and another exciting week is now in the books. The top 3 all passed their tests and the national title picture is no clearer than it has been for the past month. In fact, as these teams continue to win and run out of games to lose, things will continue to become more complicated and debate will continue to rage even more.

Wednesday Weekend Primer, Week 9

As we move later into the season you find that the highly rated teams are usually there because they have avoided other highly rated teams. Well, starting with this week we will see a dearth of highly rated teams begin to play each other as the cream of the crop really starts to rise to the top. The Wednesday Weekend Primer makes its triumphant return this week, and just in time for some great matchups.

Wednesday Weekend Primer, Week 6

Conference play is finally here and in full swing! With conference play comes the best matchups of the season and the beginning of one of the best months in sports. October is a month that is traditionally filled with some of the best college football games of the year as teams are finally moving from their soft non-con schedules to playing “real” teams in conference play. October is when name schools finally have to leave their friendly home confines to play a game. And October also is the MLB playoffs, a fairly entertaining affair in and of itself – although that has nothing to do with collegiate sports.

Terelle Pryor or Todd Boeckman, The Vest mulls it over

In light of Ohio State’s struggles last weekend against USC many are speculating that it’s time for the Buckeyes to make the switch from senior leader Todd Boeckman to freshman sensation Terelle Pryor. With OSU’s national title shot likely out the window, even assuming they can win all of the rest of their games, it seems like a no brainer. But is it as obvious as it seems?
